Mbalango - polyvalent artistMbalango is a multi-talented Mozambican artist. He is a mbira player, musician, composer and mbira maker. He was born in Maputo in 1986 and graduated from the National School of Music in Mozambique. Since then he has collaborated with various artists from the four corners of the world. He is active as a musician, an actor and composer for theater and film music. He currently shares his time between Maputo, Lisbon and Paris.

About MeRecent ProjectsThe most recent project of Mbalango is his participation in the theatre production Eastern Love by the Company Hotel Europa. In this documentary theater production, he contributes with his family history and with his musical skills. The show was shown in 2021/2022 in Germany, Portugal and France.
Moreover, he is organizing a Mbira-teaching workshop in Maputo in July 2022. |
